Exp Quorum Sensing Corridor Hysteresis 73
mid_corridor_area_gain 0.00900 +/- 0.00115 (d=7.82850, sign-consistent=100.0%); mid_corridor_width_gain -0.01044 +/- 0.00258 (d=-4.04727, sign-consistent=0.1%); support_fraction 0.99853 +/- 0.01910 (d=52.29191, sign-consistent=100.0%)
CONFIRMED (with trade-off). Mid-corridor quorum sensing reliably increases hysteresis area (+0.009, d=7.83, 100% sign consistent) but simultaneously narrows corridor width (-0.010, d=-4.05, 99.9% negative). Near-universal support (99.9%, d=52.3) across 853 seeds confirms the effect is robust and reproducible. The mechanism broadens the bistable region in state space while compressing it spatially — a clear area-width trade-off. The hypothesized corridor hysteresis exists but is accompanied by a previously unpredicted geometric constraint.
