all-sanitized mean mid-window shift -2.60146 +/- 2.73143 (95% CI [-7.95506,2.75213], d=-0.02, 50.3% negative-sign); mean high-window shift +8.58913 +/- 11.02323 (95% CI [-13.01640,30.19466], d=+0.02, 50.4% positive-sign); support fraction for U-shaped signatures +0.02321 +/- 0.00009 (95% CI [0.02303,0.02340], d=4.92, 99.9% positive-sign); core reactive mass shift is consistently positive at +0.19978 +/- 0.00025 (95% CI [0.19929,0.20026], d=15.81), but the window shifts are extreme-value dominated with medians near 0 and tails from -4084.09 to +27625.90 across 2599 valid files from 41 hosts
NO EFFECT. Low-rank mutualism clearly localizes reactive weight onto the mutualistic core, but that localization does not produce a reproducible widening of the stable-reactive window. The mid-window shift is -2.60146 with a 95% CI spanning zero [-7.95506,2.75213], the high-window shift is +8.58913 with a 95% CI spanning zero [-13.01640,30.19466], and sign balance stays essentially random at about 50-50 in both windows. By contrast, core reactive mass shifts upward very consistently at +0.19978, showing that the structural localization effect is real. The hypothesis fails because the claimed U-shaped window re-expansion is carried only by rare extreme outliers rather than by a stable bulk shift.
