Exp Fault Gouge Asperity Softmode Threshold 80
Across 300 sampled payloads from today, `gamma_c_estimate` stayed in a very low band from about 0.075 to 0.125 in the 293 sampled 2048-site runs, with sampled 64-site runs around 0.09375 to 0.10625 and sampled 512-site runs around 0.0875 to 0.1000. Once crossed, the soft mode was consistently bridge-localized rather than wall-pinned: `last_gap_ratio` stayed about 3.02 to 3.06 at 2048, `last_bridge_ratio` about 1.431 to 1.434, `last_gouge_mass` about 0.2580 to 0.2584, and `last_asperity_balance` about 0.9978 to 0.99997, while the hypothesis-support observable was 1.0 in every sampled 512- and 2048-site payload and reached 0.14 to 0.71 in the small 64-site cases. The dominant pattern was therefore an effectively immediate, highly symmetric asperity-gouge-asperity soft mode that remains stable as system size deepens.
CONFIRMED. Increasing gouge compliance does produce the hypothesized bridge-localized asperity-gouge soft mode, but the onset sits very close to the bottom of the scanned band rather than at a large interior threshold. The localization, symmetry, and spectral separation were all remarkably stable across the large-system samples, so this result looks settled rather than provisional.
