mean_chi_all 0.70393 +/- 0.04081 (d=17.24955, sign-consistent=100.0%); chi_spread_across_dists 0.01691 +/- 0.00909 (d=1.85984, sign-consistent=100.0%); predicted_chi 0.33330 +/- 0.00000 (d=inf, sign-consistent=100.0%); predicted_TW_skew -0.29350 +/- 0.00000 (d=inf, sign-consistent=0.0%)
REJECTED. The measured wandering exponent (0.704) is more than double the exact KPZ prediction (1/3 = 0.333), stable across 1206 seeds with d=17.2 and 100% sign consistency. The tight cross-distribution spread (0.017) rules out noise — the estimate is consistently wrong, not noisy. This systematic upward bias points to finite-size contamination: at the system lengths reached by the iterative deepening budget, the polymer hasn’t entered the asymptotic KPZ scaling regime where chi converges to 1/3. A much larger system (or longer polymer) would be needed to see the crossover, making this a problem where the current compute budget is genuinely insufficient rather than a hypothesis failure.
