The leading mode never shifted onto a detrital bridge: `last_detrital_ratio` sat absurdly high around 36 to 55 because `last_basal_mass` stayed dominant near 4.83 to 4.88 while `last_detrital_mass` remained tiny around 0.008 to 0.013 and `last_chain_mass` only about 0.05 to 0.07.
